And that’s a wrap on the third annual Call Intelligence Summit! And we couldn’t have done it without our record number of amazing customers, partners, and prospective client attendees. This year’s Summit was three days packed with peer-led breakout sessions, hands-on training, inspiring keynote speakers, and the afterparties at a historic Santa Barbara hotspot…and piano bar!

Whether you couldn’t make it to everything you wanted to do, or you just wished you were there, here’s our rundown of the top highlights from CIS. We hope to see you there next year!

Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Voice

This year’s theme focused on artificial intelligence (AI), the future of voice and how they’re both transforming customer engagement. Need more proof? Check out three trends that are transforming how brands engage consumers:

  1. Google and Facebook are dominating digital advertising with more than 60% of all digital advertising revenue in the United States.
  2. Voice is ubiquitous. Calls to businesses will exceed more than 169 billion by 2020 and voice-enabled devices are going mainstream and expected to grow 130% this year. We’re entering a new era of customer communication where people are empowered to use their voice instead of feeling limited to an online-only experience.
  3. 81% of leading marketers agree that machine learning will be critical to provide personalized experiences along the customer journey.

Keynotes with Tim Urban and Leslie Fine

Tim Urban, AI expert and founder of the blog Wait, But Why?, broke down what AI really is and how it will impact our lives in years to come. Leslie Fine, VP of Data and Analytics at Salesforce brought this home with a discussion around how AI is driving business transformation and how marketers should use AI to understand their customers better and to create a personalized experience with maximum efficiency.

Breakout Sessions: Optimize, Personalize & Enhance, and Expand

With over 20 sessions, marketers had the opportunity to hear from peers on how to optimize marketing campaigns, personalize the customer experience, enhance every digital interaction and expand marketing to find new customers to market to. Sessions were led by customers and partners like Frontier Communications, Adobe, Facebook, Allstate, and BoomTown. You can see session presentations here.

Customer Awards

The 2017 Call Intelligence Awards recognize and celebrate customers using call intelligence to create world-class marketing programs. These marketers consistently deliver best-in-class customer experiences that result in bottom line successes. Please join us in congratulating this year’s winners:

Lots of Fun and Networking

Between the welcome reception on the Fess Parker lawn overlooking the beach, dinner at El Paseo, live music at The Red Piano, and golfing, attendees had plenty of opportunity to get to know their marketing peers, the Invoca team, and other industry experts. Summit was a great place to have a little fun while meeting face to face with our customers.

We’re so grateful to the amazing speakers, partners, and customers who attended. Without you, the 2017 Call Intelligence Summit wouldn’t have been such a success!

Already excited for next year? Get on the list for 2018!
